Nothing can be more important than being able to choose the way we think.
– Eknath Easwaran
We’re pleased to share another audio talk with you this week. This talk is from 1991 and focuses on the benefits, and challenges, of trying to train the mind through meditation.
In this talk Easwaran links having a trained, one-pointed mind with being able to be of service to the world and making your life “a work of art”, one of the YA Blog Team’s favorite phrases! We also found this talk particularly interesting because Easwaran draws here on the Bhagavad Gita, one of his favorite texts, to illustrate the spiritual challenge that lies before us, and to explain how we train the mind – through regular, systematic, consistent meditation.
We hope you enjoy this talk and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
